College of Western IdahoSpeaker: Trustee David BishopAt College of Western Idaho's (CWI) inception in 2007, Boise was the last metropolitan area in the country lacking a community college. In March of that year, the Idaho Legislature appropriated funds for the College. Later that May, a supermajority of voters in Canyon and Ada counties voted to form a community college district. With the monetary support of the J.A. & Kathryn Albertson Foundation and the appointment by the Idaho State Board of Education of CWI’s first Board of Trustees, CWI was launched. Acquiring the programs, personnel, and property of Selland College, CWI officially opened its doors to students at its main campus, in Nampa, on what was formerly Boise State University’s West Campus. |

Eagle HARVEST FESTDate: October 10, 2026 Volunteers Needed for Harvest Fest!For Harvest Fest on October 10th we need volunteers for the following: Public Event Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Squash those post summer blues by putting on your favorite flannel and leaf your worries behind as you stroll through a bushel of fun that kicks off the fall season. Eagle Harvest Fest! Come down to enjoy the wonder-fall fiddle music, shop the vendors for some gourd-geous finds, eat some a-maize-ing food, or watch the blacksmiths hammer out a good time, there will be plenty of fun for everyone! And don’t forget The Great Pumpkin Giveaway where we will be giving away 1,500 pumpkins for kids to decorate and take home. So be sure to get there early so they can pick the cream of the crop and have a smashing good time! Harvest Fest Festivities:
