Devin Fahrner - Reverse Mortgages
Jun. 05, 2025 11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Reverse Mortgages - how they work

A reverse mortgage is the opposite of a traditional home loan: instead of making a monthly mortgage payment, the lender pays you. You are still responsible for property taxes, homeowner's insurance, and other related costs.

Speaker: Devin Fahrner America Pacific Mortgage

With over two decades in the mortgage and consumer finance industries, Devin has worked in almost every position in the industry and enjoys the experience and challenges of virtually all aspects of mortgage and finance. Devin is also a proud Veteran of the Marine Corps and truly enjoys helping our Veterans. Devin’s business model is very simple: listen, evaluate specific needs, and tailor a loan program to the details of each unique situation.

Meeting starts at noon.

Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance
Jun. 19, 2025 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance

Speaker: Ryan Zenda

On May 1, 1947, a group of Idaho farmers and ranchers founded Idaho Farm Insurance Company that later became Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Idaho. This company was grounded in the belief that neighbors should help neighbors. Because of this, Farm Bureau Insurance has built a customer-centered culture that has helped us grow stronger through decades of change. In 2024, the company restructured as the Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Idaho.

In our humble beginnings, we offered only auto insurance from our Pocatello office. Premiums for the first 60 days of business totaled just over $10,000. Subsequent generations of employees and agents, guided by the founders’ beliefs, built the company into what it is today: one of Idaho’s leading auto insurers, the largest writer of farm and ranch insurance in Idaho, and the largest insurance company wholly based in Idaho.

Head up to Calgary for the RI convention!
Jun. 21, 2025 - Jun. 25, 2025

Mike Markley, District 5400's governor for 2026-2027, is inviting us all to Calgary, Alberta, for the 2025 Rotary International Convention. Until May 29, 2024, you can register for a specially discounted $475!

Here's why Mike thinks attending this convention is a great idea for our members:

Add this to your Fun & Inspirational Things To Do calendar:
June 21-25, 2025 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada: Rotary International Convention.

One of my favorite experiences in Rotary was attending an International Convention (in 2016) -- the inspiration and the energy is absolutely amazing at these things. After eight years, I am still connected with several folks I met there.

If you've already attended one of these, you know what I'm talking about.  If you're on the bubble, now is your chance to capture a good deal. And if you haven't yet given it some thought, please do. You will love it. And Calgary is pretty close to home - who knows when it will be this close again.

Right now, Rotary is running a special promotional discount. If you register and pay by May 29, 2024, 23:59 CDT, you can register for $475.
